Summer is over and school starts in one more day. I can’t imagine how it’s gonna be without the kiddos driving me crazy every day all day long….peaceful? hmmmmm……..well I have no excuse not to get things done, right? The kids were very excited about meeting the teacher last night…..and then we did, and well Savana = not so excited. Great….just great. We had decided before we left the house that we would see Savana’s teacher first then on the first day of school we would drop Bailey off first. We walk into her classroom and all of a sudden Savana is shy. I tell her to introduce herself and she says no. She did say Savana when the teacher asked her name. So then we walk around the classroom finding where she will put her lunchbox and backpack and her desk (which is directly in front of the teacher’s….good idea:)). By this time she is less excited about this school thing. She wants to be in Bailey’s classroom and is very disappointed that answer is no. She is close to tears. She is ready to leave and says she will just stay home with me and not go to school. What?? What happened to my little girl that is always ready to go somewhere/anywhere?? I guess the school just overwhelmed her. Ok on to Bailey’s room~~ He strolls into the classroom like he owns the place, trying to find his desk. Absolutely no problem, he is ready to start school and color!! All of a sudden Savana is fascinated with the school and is having a lengthy conversation with his teacher, exploring the classroom she sees the teacher has decorated one wall with colors and something in that color is posted by it except for the white color and she points that out to the teacher. The teacher says well I don’t have anything for the white and no one has noticed but you. Thanks Savana for evaluating Bailey’s classroom…haha!! We checked out the rest of the school and playground. Savana loves it as long as she is with Bailey. Tomorrow will be an interesting day!
