Football!

Bailey just finished his 2nd week of flag football practice.  He has 2 games Saturday, 9:00 and 12:00.  His team name is Buckeyes and he is number 5.

Yesterday at practice he comes running at me crying.  He said a kid ran into him, his mouth was bleeding.  But of course he was just fine.

This morning on the way to school, he was telling Dakota (his friend I take to school)

B: a kid kicked me at football practice with his shoe.

Me: I thought you said he ran into you?

B: No, when we tackled that kid he kicked me.

Me:  bailey it’s flag football, you are no suppose to tackle

B: hmm….well it worked!

That boy is full of humor!! I told him to get ready for football practice last night and here he is:

Savana was suppose to take pompom, but her practices were on church nights, so she’s not going it now.

Open House @ Compass Academy

The first 6 weeks ended Friday and Tuesday night was open house at school.

We went to Bailey’s room first.  He showed us his journal that had pictures of his friends and family. It was so cute. and wow does he have an imagination! Then we asked Mrs. Levander how he was doing and she said he is Perfect!  She said he pays attention to her all the time and listens when she is teaching.  And if she says something one day, the next day he comes in and asks her about it.  Great memory:) Awesome!

Then we went to Savana’s room.  Her journal was more writing than pictures.  Mrs. Branecky said she has the best handwriting.  It is very neat! There were a couple of blank pages in the journal and she said that day my stomach hurt, so I didn’t write anything.  haha! Her teacher said she does a great job, always has a story to tell first thing in the morning.  And she is a huge help to Landon.  Always picking up his crayons off the floor, cutting and writing for him, gets anything he needs.  Landon is in a wheelchair and he is Savana’s boyfriend.  I’m so proud of her for treating him just like all the other kids!!  She even sits down at the playground and plays with him.  She’s got a good heart:) He’s a twin too!

They still love school, but not so much the getting up and ready part.  And now we are busy with church on monday and wednesday nights and football on tuesday and thursday nights, so the 7:00 bedtime is no longer.  If they can get in bed by 8:30 we are doing good, but bay was up at 6:15 this morning, so it just depends.

The tooth fairy…again!

Savana lost her 2nd tooth on Wednesday night

I told Adam he was the tooth fairy from now on!  He said no problem!  I got it covered.  Everyone went to bed and then I hear one of the kids cough.  And I thought of the tooth fairy….Adam was snoring beside me…great tooth fairy, huh?  But she was excited that the tooth fairy came and took the tooth, she got 4 quarters.  She is ready to lose more!

A shot at family pictures~

We drove about an hour and half from Columbus to meet up with some great friends, Jason & Candy Harmeyer.  Jason was one of the preachers at our church here in Odessa and they moved the first part of June. He took over the camp that his dad was running and that Jason grew up at.  Great Christian camp and the kiddos can go when they are 9….just a few more years:)
