My baby boy is growing up…

Time for no training wheels….really past time….way past time.  Bailey gets all geared up

And no falls whatsoever!  He absolutely LOVES riding his bike even more!  He rode down the street telling all the neighbors that he got his training wheels off.  He is so proud!

AND….he’s about to lose his first tooth!!!  What?!?!  My baby can’t grow up this fast!!!!

Kids say the darndest things…

Last week while Gran Gran was visiting.

B: Want to sleep with me tonight sis?

S: No, cuz you slobber

B:  I don’t slobber when someone sleeps with me, just when no one sleeps with me, I slobber

S: I’ll sleep with you but you have to keep your mouth shut and no talking!

Sunday night:

Me: Dakota gets to go have lunch with us tomorrow because he doesn’t have school.

B: Why not?

Me: It’s Presidents Day

B (very excited!): Present day?  Alright!!

Me: No it’s president’s day

B (disappointed): what’s that?

Last night the kiddos had their first babysitter~ that wasn’t family or friends, and that I had to pay….haha.  Her name is Bailey and she’s 14.  The kids loved her and Bailey (babysitter) had fun too!  As I took her back home, she informs me that Bailey said Daddy’s gonna be an old grandpa when I’m a daddy, but my momma’s gonna be a hot momma……WOW  all I can say is I hope she comes back to babysit!!  And I think she knows everyone’s name in our family, I’m sure thanks to Savana.

And our washer and dryer both broke last weekend:(  It was a good 9 1/2 yrs…..these better last us til the kids are out of the house!!  Loving them!!

I just told Savana that Gran Gran was coming to see us in a few days and she is so excited she screamed!  And then said, Gran Gran can ride in my car and I will show her all the houses, but you will have to walk beside us. 

My great buy!

Several months ago I saw a rug at Target that I thought would be perfect for Savana’s room, but didn’t want to pay the $70.  I checked it out almost every time I was in Target, trying to talk myself into getting it.  Good thing I waited.  On Saturday, I strolled down the aisle and it was on sale for 35 bucks!  woohoo!!

 

Matches perfectly with her dresser.  Yay!! 

Back to my shopping, so I was so excited about her rug, I scooped it up (it was the last one) and ran to the next aisle to get the blue one for Bailey….and they had 3, but were $50.  I went back today and there were 3 left and still 50 bucks.  I’m going to wait a few days and see if I get another fantastic deal.  I ABSOLUTELY love her rug!!! yippee!!!!!

No Tv

Since we moved to Texas, we have decided to go without cable or satellite for our television viewing.  This has allowed us to save money and spend more time together as a family not engrossed in our tv shows.  We watch tv though the internet which means the kiddos haven’t got to watch the Disney Channel, Nickelodean, etc.  They have lots of shows to choose from and Bailey has really liked Garfield, and that explains the following conversation that just took place:

Bailey: You are grounded.
Savana: what's grounded?
Bailey: It's when you can't do stuff for the rest of the week.
Me: Where did you hear that?
Bailey: I heard it on Garfield.
